What is it like, with crystals in our eyes?

Bietti’s crystalline dystrophy is a chorioretinal degeneration characterized by the presence of yellow or refractile crystals and/or complex lipid deposits in the retina and the cornea. BCD patients experience harsh symptoms of vision loss, which cannot be corrected by glasses. BCD patients have various vision problems include progressive night blindness, distorted vision, sensitive to strong light, reduced visual acuity, blind spots in visual fields, reduced contrast sensitivity, impaired color vision, and eventually legal blindness.
Here at Invincible Vision, we provide a Patient-Driven BCD Hub with 90 BCD literature/research articles, 30+ BCD doctors, Misdiagnosis and Underdiagnosis issues, and a Forum Community for users to connect and ask questions.

Our Story

We are a group of BCD patients who decided to build the first BCD community with our full effort while going blind or seeing the loved one going blind. Along the way, we were joined by more BCD patients and their families and friends, who also believe in the invincible vision we can reach collectively, and they have pushed this project forward with their contributions. We look forward to connecting the BCD patients globally and accelerating the research with our collective effort and wisdom. However, this is a race against time and our effort alone is far than enough. We will need your help to bring awareness to BCD, to support us to cope with vision loss, and to fund research to find a treatment. Read More
