Eyesight Deterioration

Here is an example of how your eyesight might deteriorate:

  1. A person with normal eyesight would see the building below:

2. Now let’s say your visual field test looks something like this:

In our example, this is just for one eye. Black means you can’t see in that area.

3. So if you have the above vision field for let’s say your right eye, you would see something like this:

As you can see, it’s hard to see what you’re looking at.

4. So in order to “understand” what you’re looking at, you’ll have to looking around to get a “bigger picture.” Needless to say, this can get pretty tiring.

Alternatively, some people get a blurry view:

Or distorted view:

Buildings and lines you know should be straight appear curvy or wavy.

Many times it’s a combination of the above:

You can see how difficult it gets to understand your surroundings.

That is why we need to take care of our eyes, and find a way to cure or at least deter the symptoms of BCD.
